Absolute scammers, kept getting texts and calls from various numbers claiming I owe money. They wouldn’t explain what it was about and threatened to come round and take stuff from my house. Like others have mentioned, best to just ignore them and block their numbers.

Total scam! Been getting calls from 3 separate numbers harassing me. They first texted me a “case reference” and the very next day wanted me to verify my personal info! Just stop it! Someone really needs to sort out these scam artists! This is the third time they've hit me up in 2 years!

Got a text from +4407800 005130 sayin Broxbourne BC wants me to pay Council Tax owing. Says I owe £1181.10 and to ring 01516504800 straight away with ref 33762139. They warned if I dont get in touch, an Enforcement Agent will visit and there'll be extra charges. Signed as Jacobs. Honestly, just ignore it and dont call them back!

They say they're from Jacobs debt collectors. Got calls from another number too (0345 601 2692) doing the same scam. Said they were from a council I supposedly owe money to, but I don’t, and I don’t even live there anymore, haha. Made up some dodgy reference number as well.

SCAM ALERT, +44 7969 385517 Someone called Nasir Fraj claiming I have an unpaid balance and threatening me. They said my debt will rise by £110 tomorrow and a removal squad will show up at my place after 10am. Told me it’s my last chance to pay up or I’ll face removal or jail. Total rubbish, just a scam!

+447800005130 Sent me a text saying Cambridgeshire CC wants me to pay £174 for some Road Traffic offence. They told me to ring 01516504800 straight away and mention Ref 31781925 Jacobs. They also said if I doubt them I should get in touch with the council to prove it’s legit. If I don’t deal with it, they warned about extra fees. I’ve emailed Cambridge CC to check, but they said it might take up to 5 working days to get back to me which is annoyingly slow.

I got a call from someone saying they were Jacobs Debt Collection working for Harrow Council about a traffic fine, but they didn’t say what offence. They wanted me to pay straight away and told me to ring 01516504800. The voicemail sounded like it was for Jacobs collecting money for Harrow, but I haven’t even been to Harrow in ages. Got a message saying it's from Newcastle CC about some unpaid Road Traffic charge, coming from 07800 005130, telling me to ring 0151 650 4800 and mention Ref 25574237 Jacobs. Honestly, this feels like a total scam to me. It's really worrying how they’re targeting people like me who aren’t expecting it - I don’t even live near Newcastle, I don’t drive at all, and they called a secondary number that’s meant to be unlisted. It’s just harassment and could easily scare folks who aren’t on the ball. Please, don’t fall for it.

So, this Jacobs lot are bailiffs sent by your council coz you owe some money. The council pass the job to them to collect what you owe, and these guys threaten to take your stuff. Best to hide your belongings or they'll take them - they're like bullies, even going after elderly folks sometimes. And remember, they're after debts from people who lived in your place before you, so have your landlord's agreement handy.

Suddenly, after a few weeks of silence, I started getting random, annoying calls from unknown people out of nowhere. Didn't answer any of them! Still hardly ever use the phone. Just got a call from Jacobs Enforcement Agency, theyre basically working with the council tax people to pressure folk into paying debts they had no clue about. They really push hard and use threats, its proper bullying to get vulnerable people to cough up. Such an awful way to handle things.
