Be wary, it's a debt collector masquerading as someone from housing. They’ll mention your name and claim to represent some official organisation, but that’s far from the truth. Their real job is to pursue debts for other firms. If you unwittingly affirm your identity to them, they’ll hand your details back to the original debt company to verify that they’ve got the correct contact number. Just don’t engage with them!
