I received an MMS notification on my phone from the number 07786201249, but it won't seem to open. It keeps saying it's failed to download, and I can't seem to get rid of it either. This all started on the 28th of August, 2009, at 8:00 PM, and now it’s hogging a whopping 2.13 MB on my device. It's really frustrating!

I've just received one of those myself! Honestly, best to ignore them completely-don't bother opening or responding. Simply delete the messages and you'll be safe from any potential charges. That’s the only solid tip I can share; as far as I’m aware, there’s not much else we can do about it.

We're constantly getting these images from this number as well! Why is it that folks seem oblivious? As soon as you pick up, they just keep firing away. Are they really that daft, or is comprehending English beyond their grasp? It's absolutely befuddling!

We received a couple of messages that seem to be related to dating, both regarding a lady named Kerry from Essex. However, whenever we try to follow the steps to opt-out of the charges mentioned at the bottom, it looks like we end up being charged even more. And if you attempt to call the number, you just get an unavailable signal. Quite baffling, to say the least!

It seems that these numbers have been referred to the Federal Reserve Vodafone for a more thorough inquiry.

I've received a couple of messages featuring pictures of girls. I'm trying to respond to the notifications I've been getting, but I've only managed to send another text back, inquiring for a name, postcode, and other details!

We're facing the same dilemma here. I'm considering taking this individual to court soon, especially since it seems they've got legal issues looming over them.

We've recently acquired one ourselves and noticed something a bit dodgy when the message failed to come through. No clue who might be behind it.

I'm quite concerned about a certain person who continuously bombards my 10-year-old with inappropriate images. It’s not only unsettling but has also completely drained his £10 credit on his phone! What’s going on with some people these days?

I've just received the text message, and since I'm on a contract, I'm really hoping this doesn't end up costing me a fortune. And regarding T-Mobile trying to ring me about this - what a joke! They really ought to give it a rest. I'll have to give them a call tomorrow and let them know the situation.

I’ve just received an MMS with some pictures attached. Absolutely no idea who sent it, and there’s no way to opt out or block any further messages. Quite baffling!

I've just received the same message again. Had a chat with T-Mobile, and they tried ringing the number for us, but it turns out it's inactive. It’s becoming a daily nuisance, especially since we've had this number for nearly a decade without any issues until a few weeks back! So frustrating!

I've just received one of those nuisance calls, the first in ages. It used to be quite a regular occurrence a few weeks back, but then it all seemed to stop - until now, that is! We contacted our mobile provider, and they mentioned they could change the number at no cost, but that’s really not an ideal solution since it’s a work phone. Honestly, I doubt there's anything we could do to make them stop, and I certainly won’t be replying, just to end up with more charges and for them to keep pestering us. Our work number was meant to be private, so I haven’t a clue how they’ve got their hands on it, but I really feel like giving them a piece of my mind!

We've got a couple of these pests that we need to get rid of, and we're at a bit of a loss on how to go about it. Does anyone have any ideas or tips on what steps we should take? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I keep receiving picture messages that simply won’t download. We texted asking who this might be, and yet they just sent another picture message. I even tried giving them a ring, but there was no answer. I’ve reported this to O2, but unfortunately, they’ve been quite unhelpful-nothing seems to be getting done about it.

I've received a couple of messages featuring images of some young ladies. I tried to respond to the ‘quit ALERTS’ prompt, but instead I ended up sending another text back, asking for details like their name and postcode, and such!

This morning, we received a message while Kerry was in Essex. Is this likely to be a one-time occurrence, or should we expect more from these folks?

Nope. It's been handed over to FRS at Vodafone for further inquiry.

We're in the same boat; it's a total scam.

We simply entered the number into a search engine and stumbled upon this forum, so we thought we'd share our thoughts. I recently received a text message that read “DATE MATCH:”. Just puzzled why on earth we received this out of the blue. There's no apparent way to opt out of it either!
