Got a call from a woman on the Spring Bank Holiday Monday, saying she was from HMRC. She warned me about 'legal recovery starting the very next day' if I didn’t get back to them. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

That was quite an odd experience, to say the least! I picked up the phone, yet there was complete silence on the other end. After a brief pause, the caller simply disconnected. Very peculiar indeed!

Normally I don’t pick up numbers I don’t know but the phone was right there so I just did out of curiosity. I said hello but nothing from the other side so I just ended the call. Kinda strange really, so if they ring again I definitely won’t be picking up. Feels like they’re trying to charge you the moment you answer or something. Wouldn’t say this was a good call at all.

Totally a SCAM. When I confronted them, they just chuckled and bragged about doing really well with their money, saying they're not affected by the cost of living crisis and even managed to buy a new Mercedes Benz. All this because no one’s really trying to stop them! 🤬 The cops told me to put up a warning on social media and get as many folks as possible to share it. Apparently, if everyone who gets these dodgy calls, messages or letters does that, it’ll help loads of people spot these scams. The police said these scammers nicked hundreds of thousands of pounds in just the last month.
