Got a call from a woman with an overseas accent saying she was from Virgin. She started by asking how I was doing, then said something about my internet having lots of outages recently. I asked her to prove she was really from Virgin, but she just told me to have a device ready to fix things. I refused to do anything until she could show proof of who she was. She seemed quite insistent, but I pointed out she hadn’t asked any security questions to verify me, so I hung up. Later, I checked with Virgin, and they confirmed it was a scam.
