I received a call from this individual who was attempting to sell me a mobile phone contract. He requested my bank details for a credit check, but I soon realised he was trying to initiate a withdrawal from my account. Fortunately, my bank alerted me via text about this transaction, prompting me to take immediate action and cancel my debit card. Given that he has my details, I suspect he may attempt to take money from me again in the future. It appears he’s operating from India and seems to be targeting multiple people in this manner, which raises concerns about the lack of investigation into his activities. Additionally, he rang from a different number, 03333034341, claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse. Just a heads up to anyone else to stay vigilant! Cheers.
