A woman has been ringing me since March, claiming she intends to purchase my loan bonds. I’ve already sold my shares, and to this day, no one has informed me about who acquired those shares or if I even hold any loan bonds. She insisted that I keep this matter under wraps. I suggested she send the paperwork through the post, but she’s adamant that I provide her with an email or a fax number. Now, she’s planning to send a fax to my local library, requesting that I sign it there and have them return it on my behalf. Naturally, I refuse to comply with such a peculiar request. She claims there's no time for postal delivery, and while she hasn’t asked for any payment yet, I have a feeling that might be coming soon.

I received a call from this number today, and let me tell you, it was quite the experience! An upbeat voice with a distinct American twang wanted to chat about some shares I clearly don’t hold. It’s absolutely a ruse - steer clear of these dodgy individuals, don’t let them pull you in!

I received a rather unexpected phone call today, inquiring if I was interested in offloading my Millwall shares. Truth be told, I am keen to sell them, but I absolutely refuse to part with any cash in advance, as I suspect that’s the route they’re likely to take.

I’ve come across an unsettling proposition involving an offer to purchase shares under the guise of a hostile takeover. Be wary, as this appears to be a classic con. They’ll entice you with promises of a lucrative price for your shares, but the catch is that they’ll demand an ‘insurance’ fee upfront. It’s a ruse-once you hand over that premium, you’ll be left empty-handed and won’t see a penny in return. Steer clear of this deceitful scheme!

I've received multiple calls from this number, and they keep trying to convince me to invest in shares. It feels very dodgy; I suspect it's a scam.

I keep getting calls about investments in shares, and honestly, my brain can't take any more of it! I'm starting to believe these folks are up to no good.

Had a rather peculiar phone call today, on the 13th of April, 2015. The caller identified herself as representing Robinson Mergers and Acquisitions, hailing from Washington, USA. She claimed to be acting on behalf of a client eager to acquire Scottish Power shares, saying this client supposedly already owns a staggering 48% of them. However, considering that Scottish Power was taken over by Iberdrola back in 2007, her story doesn’t quite add up. When I pressed her for the Financial Conduct Authority registration number, she couldn’t provide one. Everything about this encounter screamed scam to me... I wouldn’t go near it with a ten-foot pole! I made it quite clear that I wanted her to “do one!”

I recently received a rather peculiar phone call from this number, with the caller attempting to persuade me to offload my shares at prices ranging from 50% to an eye-watering 500% over their actual worth. Naturally, I inquired which company was supposedly backing this outrageous offer, and she claimed it was Wakefield Ltd from the States. When I mentioned I couldn't locate their details online, she became rather evasive. Upon my questioning about the number of shares I possessed, the line abruptly went dead. Quite the odd encounter, wouldn't you agree?

I received yet another call from this number, so I simply set my phone down on the table and sat back, just waiting for the caller to eventually give up and hang up.

I received a call from someone proposing an absurdly inflated price for some shares that belong to me. They insisted on sending me an email or alternatively suggested I pop down to a nearby library to receive documents. Curiously, they flat-out refused to send the paperwork through the post. Quite unprofessional, if you ask me; however, I can see how a few unsuspecting folks might fall for it.

I keep getting calls from a woman who claims her name’s Amanda. She insists she’s interested in purchasing my Vodafone shares for a client of hers. Strangely, she’s sent me a non-disclosure agreement to sign, stressing that I shouldn’t breathe a word of it to anyone due to the supposedly contentious nature of this takeover. I’ve been humouring her for more than a week now, trying to figure out what kind of con this might be!

Hello there! I've encountered a rather similar situation with this same company that turned out to be a complete sham. They had me on the line for ages, insisting that I possessed 2,000 shares in Rolls Royce, which was entirely news to me, as I’ve only ever owned a handful. The caller claimed that Rolls Royce was concealing these shares and didn't want me to become aware of them. They then proceeded to send me documents, promising a whopping £60,000 for my so-called shares, which, in reality, are merely valued at a pittance. They called them C shares, but they are hardly worth a penny each! To top it off, they asked me to pay 3% of that imaginary amount for some kind of insurance bond. What a farce!

They're still at it: I receive about five calls a day from this number, all at different times, but primarily in the early evening which hints at an American time zone. More often than not, they hang up the moment my voicemail kicks in, but once I actually caught some background chatter, like you’d hear in a call centre. Quite peculiar!

I recently received a phone call from this number, with the caller inquiring about my husband’s investments. I requested a contact number so he could return the call, but she seemed rather unsure and eventually came up with a vague response...001..... After that, she feigned an inability to hear me and promptly cut the line. I was well aware that the line was perfectly clear, mind you! Quite dodgy behaviour, if you ask me! It's rather concerning that our private information is potentially being mishandled by unscrupulous individuals.

Since January 2015, my poor aunt who suffers from dementia has been receiving a barrage of calls. It's quite relentless! I’m at my wits' end trying to figure out how to put an end to this madness. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I received a call yesterday from a woman with a Chinese accent claiming to be from the States, trying to convince me to sell my stock at ludicrously high rates. I quickly reached out to my son, and he was quite certain it was a scam. They even followed up with an email, which I’ve chosen to disregard, but now I’m inundated with constant calls from them. What’s the best way to put a stop to this nuisance?

My elderly mother, who is 93, has been pestered repeatedly by this number. I happened to be present during one of the calls, and the person on the line claimed to be associated with a client who specializes in acquiring companies. Astonishingly, he mentioned the very company my mum holds shares in, which is quite alarming. I firmly instructed him that she had no interest and demanded her removal from their calling list. Yet, I was dismayed to discover she received another call just last night, shortly before 9pm. This is utterly disgraceful, and I believe they ought to be held accountable under the law.

This is the third occasion I've received a call from this number, and they're keen on purchasing Standard Life shares from me but at a ridiculously high price. When I suggest that they send a formal offer through the post, suddenly their enthusiasm wanes. It’s got all the hallmarks of a scam, if you ask me!

I recently had a rather peculiar phone call from a woman by the name of Jane Roberts. She yammered on for almost ten minutes about a client interested in acquiring some shares linked to a takeover. However, it suddenly struck me that those shares were actually in a proxy account that the Financial Services Compensation Scheme had reimbursed me for ages ago, meaning I don't possess any shares now. It all feels rather dodgy, to be honest. She rang me twice; the first time, there was no message left, but I picked up on her second attempt. Definitely feels like something’s off here.
