I’ve had a few calls from these people recently. On the last call, an Asian lady claimed I owed money (which isn’t true) and said they wanted to help sort my debt issues. She said she was calling on behalf of the Citizen Advice from the UK government. I told her I was busy and asked her to send something through in writing instead. After that, she just ended the call. Watch out for these kinds of scams!

Last week I got a call from a man with an Asian accent claiming he was from a debt collection agency chasing me for money I supposedly owed. I said straight away I didn’t owe anything. Then he tried to patch me through to someone else, but soon came back on and said he could hear us both talking. We warned him we’d report the call, and he just hung up. Today, not long ago, he rang once more. I politely told him off and once again, he just cut me off. Quite cheeky really!

Got a call from an Asian bloke earlier, told him straight up I asked the last caller to remove me from their list. He wanted to know why, so I explained. I also warned that if they bother me again, I’ll be charging them for the hassle.

Got a call from an Asian lady about some unpaid debts supposedly. I told her to say again who she was and where she got my number. She just asked if I owed any money. I said no, and she just cut me off. Waste of time, really.

I work in fraud investigation myself, so no way he'd have gotten any info off me. Honestly, I don’t reckon he was from some debt collection place, seems more like he was fishing for personal info.

Got a call earlier today from someone saying my creditors were after me for some debt I supposedly owed, which I've not got at all. They knew my name, but their English was pretty poor, thick Indian accent and all. I played along just to waste his time and spun a wild tale about drowning in millions of pounds of debt, juggling 19 credit cards, and borrowing cash from some dodgy bearded blokes down the road who were now chasing me. When he twigged I was having a laugh, he told me to "f##k off" nicely enough, and I gave it right back at him. Fingers crossed they ring me again soon!

Got a call from this number earlier today, and the person claimed to be from some debt collection place. I asked them who exactly they were, but they wouldn’t say. If they were legit, they’d at least tell you who they represent and use a landline instead of a mobile. When I brought up the investigation department, they just cut me off immediately. Seems like a proper scam to me.
