I got a call claiming it was regarding my current life insurance and asked if I had time to chat. The line was glitchy and kept breaking up, making it feel like I was dealing with some sort of robot. They said, “Great, I’ll get an advisor to ring you later today to either lower your policy cost or bump up your coverage for no extra fee.” Seemed fishy to me - if it was truly free, why not sort it out straight away? Now I’m a bit worried it might be a scam, so I’ll be contacting my phone company to double-check.
