Some bloke named Michael Shoesmith rang our firm pretending to be a high court enforcement officer. He started pushing us to pay straight away via BACs, threatening bailiffs would turn up in 15 minutes and that we'd get a CCJ against the company. He was really aggressive, saying the smartest move was to pay up or they'd seize stuff and the debt would get bigger. He claimed it was about an unpaid child protection directory or something. We told him if he was a scammer, go ahead and send them round, then hung up and looked them up online.

Just got a call from someone named Michael Shoesmith, claiming if I didn’t pay up through bank transfer, bailiffs and a cc would be after me. He mentioned some company linked to child guidance publications, but wasn’t clear on the details. Of course, I didn’t send any money!
