Somebody said they were from First Action, saying I’d been in a car crash and could claim money. I told them I hadn’t had any accident and that I’m on the TPS list, but they didn’t care, so I just ended the call. Total ambulance chasers. Honestly, I hope they get what’s coming to them.

Got a call intended for my dad, who actually had a minor car crash on the day mentioned. The caller claimed to be from CM Solutions. I said dad wasn’t about but I’d relay any info, then he just cut off. Earlier this month, another guy called, wouldn’t say which company he was with, got a bit annoyed and ended the call. He had a Northern English accent, which fits with the 0161 number someone else mentioned here.

Some bloke rang me on me phone, knew me name and the date of a crash I was in last year. He was well pushy, trying to get me to make a dodgy claim sayin I got hurt in the accident and get £4,000 paid, without any proof - just lies about feeling pain and takin a couple of paracetamol. This number rang me up sayin they where from Technical Legal. The person on the line knew my name and said they was aware I wasn’t happy about the calls I was gettin, then asked if I knew why they was callin. I told them I thought they reckoned I’d been in some sort of accident. I said the only crash I’ve been in was way back in 1974. Then the caller just hung up on me without sayin anythin else.

I’ve been getting calls from this lot for weeks now. Today I finally picked up, and just as I thought, it was those ambulance chasers calling themselves UK Legal Assist. I told them I’m already making a claim and they said they’d take me off their list. Had a small accident last July and since then these companies just won’t leave me alone. This broker claimed it wasn’t them because I supposedly used a car insurance comparison site, but that’s not true since they used a unique email given only to them. I’ve now reported all three firms to the ICO in Wilmslow for breaching Data Protection laws. Weirdly, Jess told me before hanging up, ‘you’re asking too many questions’, and said they’ll keep ringing for 2.5 years, along with other companies, about me supposedly able to claim £2,000 from some insurance payout for minor personal injuries?
