They wanted me to order a test kit from some website: https://testing-kit-home.com. I’m not signed up for anything like that so I reckoned it must be a con. Loads of others seem to have flagged this number too, so it’s definitely dodgy. I didn’t bother clicking the link, but I’m pretty sure they’re just trying to scam people out of cash.

My NHS Test and Trace app is running and never gave me any alert. Im high risk myself and havent been out or seen anyone except when necessary. As a member of the NHS myself, I found it quite amusing to stumble upon this! It's unquestionably a scam of the highest order. Genuine NHS texts concerning COVID-19 will always be sent from NHSTracing or NHSResults. Do not under any circumstances part with your details! Remember, tests are free of charge. Best to block the number and flag it as spam!

I got a text late at night, about 1.30am, claiming to be from the NHS saying I'd been near someone with the Omicron variant and to click a link for a free test. I'm in Northampton and the message just felt dodgy to me. When the NHS contact traced me before, they always used my full name, gave me an ID, precise instructions, told me to book a PCR test, and it showed up as NHStracing on my caller ID. This time it didn’t, there wasn’t even a phone number included, so I’m pretty sure it was a scam.
