Got a call from what sounded like some dodgy call centre in Asia claiming to be the DWP. They said my NI number was “compromised” or something. Totally fishy - they were clearly trying to get my banking info. Best thing is to not pick up, block the number, and report it to Action Fraud or send a text to 7226. This is just another scam trying to nick your money.

Beware of this scam call from an Asian call centre, they’re just after your bank info. They make up company names that aren’t real at all, and never say where they actually are. They hide behind fake numbers that you can’t even trace. Don’t trust a word they say. Best thing to do is report it to the police’s fraud team and also send a text or call 7726 to warn others.
