Somebody rang me saying they were from Gateway about a tax refund I was supposed to get. I just told them to buzz off, definitely a scam.

Got a call from a woman claiming to be with National Gateway talking about a cheque they were sending. Pretty sure it was a scam, so I hung up before she could start asking for any of my info.

This company claiming to handle PPI kept asking me for my National Insurance number and date of birth, which seemed quite suspicious.

Got a call from some outfit called National Gateway, they say they’re linked to the government sorting out PPI claims. I’m pretty sure it’s dodgy - I tried to sort out my PPI refund about a decade ago with no luck. And seriously, if this were a proper official firm, why would they be buzzing people on their personal mobiles? Doesn’t seem right to me.
