I got a call from someone called Caitlin who said she was with the national accident helpline, offering a no fault payment. She really seemed suspicious and everytime i asked her for a phone number so i could ring them myself, she just ended the call.

Someone rang claiming to be from National Accident Line, saying I’d get money since I was wearing my seatbelt. I asked why I’d be paid again, and they just kept insisting it was because of the seatbelt. I told them I wasn’t even in the car at the time - it was parked and I wasn’t there. Right away, they changed the tune and said I wouldn’t get anything after all. They spoke really quickly, which made it seem pretty dodgy to me!

I've had loads of missed calls from this number, all asking about a car crash that happened ages back. Quite annoying really!

It's one of those groups that hunt down folks involved in car crashes.

After the crash, I got one of those ambulance chaser calls, real pushy type. They seemed to know just enough to sound legit, but I reckon they probably snag your details from the hire car firm. Definitely felt a bit dodgy to me.
