I got this text saying something like ‘Hi ... new user now ... click this number ...’ or whatever. But the funny thing was, the person they were pretending to be was right there beside me. So yeah, it was just another dodgy scam message.

Total scam alert! Got a dodgy call wanting £341.37 for a Mercedes Benz direct debit, supposedly from Santander. They ask you to click a link to stop the payment - don’t fall for it and definitely don’t click that link!

Got a whatsapp message saying “hi dad, lost my phone, can you whatsapp me so I got your number?” Rang up both my kids and neither of them said they sent it at all. Pretty weird!

Got a text from this number saying HOLD and something about Halfords charging £548.64 on 26th August 23. It asked me to call 03330344250. I’ve never been anywhere near Halfords, so it’s gotta be a scam in my opinion.
