Then they said they needed £1710 until Friday because of a bill, and mentioned they couldn’t get into their banking app due to the new number. They asked if I could send the money to a certain sort code and account. That’s when I twigged it was a scam and told them no. They messaged again asking why, so I called them out as a scammer.
