Got a call claiming to be from BT saying there was an issue with my phone line. They wanted me to log onto my computer and said they’d send a one-time security code from BT via text and email. The email looked really legit, like a proper BT one, so I nearly fell for it. Don’t be tricked by this nonsense! If anyone ever asks you to log into your PC like that, just hang up straight away, or if you’re feeling cheeky, mess with them and waste their time - it’s really quite amusing. The bloke with the Indian accent eventually gave up and hung up, haha.
