Got a call from someone pushing cavity wall and loft insulation. He kept going on about some certificate. I told him our walls are solid stone so he switched to asking for a certificate for the loft insulation instead. When I said we did the loft ourselves and didn’t require a certificate, he just hung up on me.

Got a call from someone saying they were 'Eco Homes' saying they needed to check my roof insulation, which is 30 years old, to 're-certify' it or something. They were really pushy and then handed the phone over to someone who spoke with a different accent. Definitely a con - we’ve lived here over three decades and never had anything like that done. Sounds like one of those 'boost your insulation' rip-offs to me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Eco Homes, offering a free 20 minute check-up about a certificate for our old fiberglass loft insulation, something to do with a government scheme from years back. He mentioned sending a person to our place. I told him I'd have to look into it first before agreeing to anything.
