I received a call regarding cavity wall and loft insulation. The chap wouldn't stop prattling on about some certificate. I mentioned that our walls are solid stone, but he persisted in trying to sell me on that loft insulation certificate. When I explained that we'd taken care of it ourselves and had no need for any documentation, he abruptly hung up. Quite the nuisance, really!

I received a call from a company ostensibly named 'Eco Homes,' asserting that they needed to inspect my roof insulation, which has been in place for the last three decades, in order to re-certify it. They were quite pushy about it, even handing over the phone to someone who spoke with less of an accent. However, I quickly realised it was all a ruse-we’ve been living in this house for over thirty years and there have been no updates to the insulation during that time. It seems more likely to be one of those 'insulation top-up' scams!

Claimed to represent Eco Homes, he was keen to arrange a complimentary 20-minute inspection regarding a new certification for our aged fibreglass loft insulation, which we had installed years back under a government initiative. He mentioned he’d send someone over to take a look. I decided to hold off for now until I could do a bit of digging into it first.
