Got a call where the bloke knew my full name and where I live. When I asked which bank was giving the PPI refund, he said Lloyds, but then quickly added something like 'we handle all the banks'. When he wanted my account number and sort code to send the money to, I said 'the original account, you should have those details already'... he just went 'yeah, right' and then dropped the call. Sounded like a noisy call centre somewhere in East Asia, couldn’t really make out who he was with. Definitely not someone trustworthy.

Got a call where they rattled off my full name and address right away. When I asked which bank was giving me a PPI refund, he said Lloyds, but then added something like ‘we cover all banks.’ He wanted my account number and sort code to send the money, and I told him to just use the original account details they should already have. He just muttered ‘uh huh’ and then cut me off. The background noise sounded like some busy call centre, probably somewhere in East Asia. No clue who he was working for, but it sure wasn’t anyone trustworthy.

Got a few calls from this number while I was at work today. Finally picked up around 5 minutes ago and the bloke on the other end used my full name straight away. He claimed to be with the "National Refund department". I said alright but asked him to repeat who he was cos I’ve never come across that name before. Next thing, he just hung up on me. Definitely best to steer clear of this one!

Got a few calls from this number earlier on while I was working. Finally picked up about five minutes ago, and the guy on the line used my full name straight away. He said he was calling from some "National Refund department". I told him that’s fine but asked him to repeat who he was because I’d never heard of it before. Then he just hung up on me. Someone rang saying they were from Gladstone Brookes and claimed to be sorting PPI claims for Lloyds Bank. I asked which product the refund was for, but they couldn’t provide any info. When I asked for the details to be sent in writing so I could check with the police, the guy passed me to his supervisor. The supervisor ended the call straight away after I wouldn’t say if I had a credit card or not.

Some bloke said he was from Gladstone Brookes claiming to be sorting out PPI refunds for Lloyd's bank. I asked what exactly the refund was for but he couldn’t give me a straight answer. Then he passed me onto his manager after I told them to send all info through the post so I could check with the police. The manager just ended the call when I wouldn’t confirm if I owned a credit card or not.

Got a call from a bloke called William, sounded Asian, saying I’d won £1900 from Blackhorse, linked to Lloyd’s, for some missold PPI. The creepy thing was, he knew my exact address. He asked how I wanted the money paid. I said a cheque, but then he said they’re shutting next week so he needed my bank details. Told him he was the one with the problem and told him to buzz off. Also, someone rang from 07875894327 earlier today. Both numbers are blocked now.
