I got this call supposedly from the Court of Appeal, saying it was for the UK HMRC. It kicked off with some fake American automated voice telling me to press 1 to speak to someone. Then this guy named Stan, with an Indian accent, came on. Pretty clear it was a scam, but I played along for a bit. He said he wasn’t directly with HMRC but was acting for them. I asked where he was calling from, no reply. Asked what department, still nothing. Then after a pause, he just said "ah, forget it" real smooth and hung up on me :)
