I freaked out and dialled the number, but midway through the call it felt dodgy, so I hung up. Then I looked up Halifax’s real fraud team contact and it turned out to be a scam for sure.Halifax2 yearsThey called me but asked for a different number than mine. What really tipped me off was that I got the fax on 11/1/2024 - one whole day before the supposed transaction! Plus, the weird capitalisation throughout the message didn’t look right.
