Got a dodgy text from the number 07742178682 on 16/11/19 claiming I’d won £500 from Argos. The message said something like “congrats, you’ve bagged the Argos gift prize!” and had a suspicious link attached. Seriously, don’t tap on it! Argos never tell you about winnings through texts like this - total scam.

got a message from 07742178682 claiming ive won £500 from argos, but gotta use it by tomorrow. sounds a bit dodgy to me cos i dont remember signing up for any argos prize draw. they told me to just click a link to claim the money. now im wondering if its safer to just ignore it or take the risk. feels rubbish living in times where you cant trust these things at all.
