Got a message on my phone from this number, it had the +44 at the start. It claimed to be Argos telling me I'd won a £500 voucher. The link sent me to a site that looked like Argos but asked “Do we know you?” and wanted me to fill in some personal info. My name wasn’t mentioned in the original message, so I reckon it’s a phishing scam trying to grab details. I've reported it to Argos and blocked the number straight away.

pi##### ringing again with the usual nonsense. started off with "good morning, how are you?" then said something about an accident i supposedly had. i told them i hadn’t been in any crash. just for a laugh, i asked what my name was and the date of this accident. they went quiet and said they didn’t have the info at hand and that i should call them back so they could get some money for me. i’d had enough by then and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call just after 10 this morning. Answered, but the bloke was chatting away in Urdu, so I had to wait a bit - maybe 5 or 6 seconds - before he noticed someone picked up. He said his name was ‘Simon’, though I’m not convinced that’s genuine. Started telling me I’d been in an accident recently and that I could be entitled to more than £15k in compensation.
