Got a message on my phone claiming to be from Santander saying “You’ve added a device to your Santander PLC Account” with a link I didn’t click on. Rang the bank and they told me its a SCAM. Santander never sends links like that in texts. The number it came from was +447734373898. Be careful out there!

I got a text from this number and ended up being tricked. The message was designed to look exactly like one from NHS Track and Trace, even had the same blue logo which made it seem legit. Thankfully my bank acted fast and messaged me about a £499 purchase, which I definitely didn’t make. Because I spotted the alert in time and told them it wasn’t me, the scammers didn’t manage to steal anything in the end. Thank goodness for my bank’s quick reaction!

It’s totally a scam, no doubt about it. But for folks who might be more vulnerable, this kind of thing could be really dangerous. These scammers seriously need to be shut down immediately. I mean, I did pause for a moment to think, but thankfully my gut feeling kicked in. Sadly, not everyone is going to have that same luck.

Got a couple of texts saying "UPS Delivery: Simon attempted to drop off your parcel but no one was in, please arrange a new delivery here: https://reschedulerrj[.]me". These messages turned up on May 1st at 1.28am and 2.58am, saying they'd tried to deliver my package between 10.30am and 2pm that same day but no one was home. The weird thing is that these alerts popped up in the early hours when I was fast asleep, yet they were telling me about a supposed failed delivery that wasn't meant to happen for another 7 hours or so!

Had three texts from someone pretending to be from the Post Office, saying a guy called Keith couldn’t deliver my parcel and to click on different websites. Each message came from a similar phone number with just the last two digits switched around - like 98, then 95, then 97. The texts all said things like "Keith attempted to deliver your parcel but there was no answer, please reschedule at locate-mydelivery.com." I wasn’t fooled though, didn’t expect any package and was at home the whole day anyway. Definitely a scam.
