I got a text claiming to be from Royal Mail, asking for £2.99 to sort out re-delivery for a parcel. It looked really legit, with a tracking number and everything on the link they sent. Don’t fall for it though - if you enter any info, you could lose money from your bank. Just opening the message is fine, but don’t go any further. If you’re unsure, just leave it for a day and try clicking the link again later - your device won’t know the site, so it’ll be obvious it’s dodgy.

On the 20th March 2022, I got a message from 07734 373681 claiming to be Royal Mail and saying I had to pay £2.99 to collect a parcel. A couple of days earlier, on 18th March, a very similar text came through from 07542 850803. Definitely a scam.
