Got a really pushy phone call from someone pretending to be a debt collector about a timeshare. They kept saying there was a European Court Order against us and threatened to send someone round to our house with an enforcement order. Absolute nonsense in my opinion.

Absolutely horrid experience with some failed timeshare salesman pretending to be a Government debt collector - and for a firm we’re actually suing! Honestly, what a joke. I’m saying this after I’ve had a bit of time to calm down. The call was genuinely scary - this person claiming to be from the courts threatening to come and take everything from me if I didn’t pay up. I’m glad I didn’t fall for it, but still, it was a really unsettling phone call.

I got a call today that got picked up by my guardian phone asking them to say who they are first. The voice was really hard to make out, so I just accepted it. But the moment I asked "Who is this?" they just cut the call right away.

I got a call from a bloke on a different phone number than the one he called before, but I’d already blocked his first number after he kicked off talking about debts right away! Not long after, he rang me on this new number, sounding pretty pushy and demanding to know why I’d ended the call before hearing him out about something supposedly beneficial for me. I didn’t hang about, told him to get lost, and blocked that one too. Sounds like a classic timeshare scam to me.

So I got a ring from someone saying they were from Consumer Protection, asking if I’d been getting annoying calls about timeshares. I told him, “You mean like this one? I’m not interested,” and hung up. He rang back two more times but I ignored it. Then on the fourth call, I picked up and asked why he was ignoring that I didn’t want to chat, and he ended up getting really rude and abusive.

Loads of numbers like this one come from a handful of people who say they can fix any issue you have with timeshares, no matter how old the problem is. They’re quite slick at persuading folks and won’t think twice about calling you a liar if you doubt them, even insisting they have legal support from courts. In reality, they’re just smooth-talking scammers, nothing more.

Got a call on my home phone from 07727493469, but luckily I have a call blocker set up that asks unknown numbers to say who they are before it lets the call through. When it got to them, nobody said anything, so I just blocked the number straight away. What caught my eye was that several folks on here pointed out the link to timeshare scams, particularly Diamond Resorts. We actually had some dealings with them years back but never signed up for anything, so it looks like they’re still sharing old customer info around!

Sounds like another one of those cheesy timeshare scams aimed at ex-owners. They try saying your contract can be brought back whenever, but if you’ve properly ended things by submitting all their forms, that’s just rubbish. The person on the phone was pretty pushy and said they worked for the Halifax Consumer Group or something like that. I nearly fell for it too, but we’ve had loads of calls like this before (all dodgy). Best to always verify phone numbers on this brilliant site before trusting anyone.

These timeshare maintenance fee scams are relentless, they keep switching their phone numbers. I’ve decided not to pick up at all unless I recognise the caller.

They called me up about some timeshare debt I supposedly owed, but I haven’t owned that place for ages. I just hung up on them straight away.

This number, along with a bunch of others, keeps ringing me up saying bailiffs will turn up due to some timeshare debt. It's so annoying having to deal with these calls all the time. Blocking one number does nothing because they just switch to another. It’s really intrusive and just wastes my time constantly. In today's tech world, you'd think there would be a way to put an end to this madness.

Got a call from a woman with a Scottish accent claiming she was calling on behalf of the Harrogate Advisory Board. She mentioned I had a week to settle some debt supposedly owed to Diamond Resorts. Very fishy if you ask me!

Got a call from Horton Financial about some timeshare issue, but turns out they’re not even registered in the UK. I pretended to go along with it to get more details. They tried to say something about AML to get legal help and mentioned money for fighting a court order. I looked into it with Wyndham, who they claimed sent the writ, but there wasn’t any writ at all. Best just to ignore these lot and make sure you report them to Action Fraud.

Got a call from someone saying they were a finance firm with a European court order linked to some timeshare, supposedly with Diamond Resorts. Got a call from a bloke saying he was with Horton Financial Services, telling me there’s some European Court Order against me for not paying timeshare fees. I reckon they wanted to get me to cough up cash to fight it in court. I decided to check the company on Companies House and found out it had been dissolved more than a decade ago. When I mentioned that to him, he just ended the call straight away.
