In my experience, these so-called Consumer Services are anything but that. Honestly, I think they're just out for a quick scam. Wouldn't trust them one bit.

Today my phone rang but the caller ended the call before i could pick up.

Got two calls on my landline but they hung up straight away. Then they called my mobile right after, rang twice and then just ended the call. Proper annoying, that.

I've been getting calls from a few numbers that look alike, and every time I pick up, the caller just ends the call immediately. It's happening quite a bit lately.

I've been getting the exact same thing like others mentioned. My home phone rings twice, cuts off, then my mobile rings twice and stops. Sounds like some automated system checking if the number is still active. If it rings, they know the number's live. Then, I guess they sell these numbers to telemarketers who pester you about stuff like that old timeshare deal... so annoying! I reckon these firms buy whole batches of numbers to use for their calls. My phone keeps showing blocked calls from them, yet more keep popping up all the time... proper frustrating!

Over the past few days, I've been getting loads of calls from different numbers. Since my phone makes them say who they are if they're not saved in my contacts and these ones never do, I’m pretty sure they’re just some sort of scam.

Got a call from Hutchison 3G on my mobile earlier today, 29th August 2023 at about 4.31pm. This is actually the ninth irritating call I've had today from various numbers. None of them bothered leaving a message on my voicemail, which usually makes me think it’s just another spam or scam attempt.

They started by asking for money upfront but kept insisting they were just giving me advice... all about a timeshare I sold back to the company about two decades ago. They claimed my membership had just been suspended but was now reactivated, and an invoice was supposedly on its way. I told them I'd wait for the actual letter first and then get my own lawyer involved, making it clear I wouldn't be paying anything upfront. They repeated they were only advising me, and I just said thanks for the advice and ended the call.

Got a call but they didn’t really say anything, just a few seconds of some barely audible noise. Cheers to everyone who picked up and replied. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now!

This number and 07727493469 have been ringing me non-stop. My landline’s block list is totally packed now, and my phone’s blocked contacts are growing by the day! Honestly, when is Ofcom or anyone going to step in and put a stop to these dodgy calls? It’s getting ridiculous.

Often my mobile will start ringing and hang up after about three rings. Then just as that ends, my landline will ring but only gives two or three quick rings before stopping. It’s happened more than once now, quite strange really.

I keep getting a few calls daily from different mobile numbers where I answer and there’s just silence before they hang up. It’s really annoying, and from what I’ve read here, these are likely scammers. I can’t block them just yet, otherwise they’d be blocked already.

Today, on the 26th of July 2023, I got a call from Hutchison but when I checked my answerphone, there wasn’t anything left. They’d rung from a different number than the one that called me yesterday, but again, no message. Really felt dodgy to me.

Received a call from someone claiming to be with private solicitors about timeshare scams. I told him I wasn’t interested and he didn’t seem pleased at all.

Somebody called me saying the European court was suing me and if I acted straight away, it could be stopped. They mentioned something like section 15 or whatever. I told them I'd wait until the official court papers arrived. Then he said I only had 15 days before bailiffs would be sent and that letters from Europe could take ages to get here. So basically, the bailiffs would show up before I'd even get the paperwork! I just said fine, I'll wait for both the letter and whoever turns up, then I ended the call.

He warned me that a bailiff was on the way, so I just replied with a thanks. That seemed to annoy him quite a bit, he then said I wasn’t taking things seriously and was daydreaming like I was in some fantasy world.

Some bloke rang me claiming to be from the European Courts, saying we owed maintenance fees for a Timeshare. I told him I find it pathetic how he can sleep at night trying to scam people and that our payments are all sorted. Not a second later, he just hung up on me. Proper annoying! 😠

Got a call from someone who said he was 'finance Bob'. I missed the call coz I was busy, so I rang back. He started going on about GDPR stuff, saying they couldn’t pull up my info from just a phone number. When I asked to have my number taken off their list, he refused. He also claimed they do these calls for 'the government', whatever that means.

Got a strange voicemail where someone was singing something about a "sweet serial killer." Couldn't track them down on Facebook or Insta, but did come across a WhatsApp account connected to a lady. Quite odd!
