A gentleman on the line asserted that he was "collaborating with the authorities" and suggested that I might have ties to some dodgy business operation. When I pushed back and refused to engage, he turned rather menacing, even leaving a voicemail suggesting I was in deep trouble and that "there's no escaping this." Now, should I have been involved in anything untoward (which I absolutely am not), I’d expect the proper channels to reach out to me formally. I'd advise everyone to respond similarly and simply disconnect from the call.3 yearsI got a call from someone saying they were with the Consumer Rights Directive in Basildon, and they also said they were part of a Government-supported group. Like always, they tried to tell me my Timeshate cancellation wasn't valid and threatened me with legal trouble. Total nonsense as per usual! The caller was pretty forceful and pushy, really annoyed me.
