Got a call about a job opening in my sewing shop, which I shut down over four years ago. The accent gave it away straight away - definitely a scam.

Answering the phone was a mistake as the person said I had some debts that weren’t secured. I didn't give my name when they asked but wanted to know which company was calling. When they said it was a debt collection agency, I just ended the call and have put their number on my block list since then.

I ended up chatting with the bloke for ages, probably about 15 minutes or so. I really enjoyed messing about with him! Spun him a proper sad tale before finally telling him to jog on and blocked his number.

Some bloke named Chris rang me claiming to be from a financial firm. He said there was some debt linked to me. I asked, "Oh yeah? Which company is that?" and he just cut me off straight away. What was the point of that then? Funny really. Pretty obvious it was a scam, but you’d think they’d have the guts to actually finish the convo!
