Got a message from 07547835088, part of that 'Dear Mum' scam where they pretend to be your kid in trouble over some urgent money problem. I decided to string them along just to see what they’d do. They claimed I owed a bill of £788. Then, out of the blue, I got a text saying my number was passed on to the 'creditor' and soon after, a man with an African accent rang me from 07719930130, pushing me to sort out the £788 straight away. I just replied with, 'Yeah, I told them to jog on, 'cos I’m not falling for this!'
