Some bloke rang me claiming he was from a government-backed green energy outfit. He offered to check my loft insulation at no cost, saying my current stuff was old and not up to standard. He promised I’d save about 40% on my energy bills. After a fair bit of him trying to persuade me, he finally gave up and said he’d take me off their list. I’m not so sure though, this was the fourth time I’ve had a similar call with the exact same pitch.

I’ve just received a phone call from this number claiming to discuss loft insulation. When I expressed my lack of interest, the chap on the other end was remarkably impolite and even told me to freeze! After I pointed out how discourteous he was being, he abruptly hung up on me. Quite the experience, I must say!
