I put out a notice seeking a two-bedroom rental, inviting anyone with leads to reach out. Shortly after, I received a message from a number claiming to have a property available. Upon further communication through email, they revealed they resided in the West Midlands and insisted that I send a deposit to secure a viewing, which would allow her solicitor to draft a tenancy agreement. This has raised quite a few red flags for me. The contact email provided was [email protected].

I posted an ad seeking a home in Torrington, Devon, and received a call from this number claiming they had a place available. Strangely, they asked for my personal information to sort out the contracts, but didn’t propose any sort of meeting to actually see the property. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I encountered a scammer posing as a landlord, attempting to let out a property that clearly isn’t real. They also seem to be using the email address [email protected]. I've taken the matter up with the authorities.
