Someone rang me but I missed it, so I decided to check the number out and nearly all the comments say it's a scam. Honestly can't believe this number has been checked over 10,800 times since it first popped up a year ago and it's still active. Why hasn't the phone company stepped in or the police done something about it? Seems pretty clear these calls are for dodgy purposes.

There was a strong Indian accent when he called, claiming to be from EE and said I was eligible for a phone upgrade. He offered to send an email from EE to prove he was genuine and asked for my email address, then kept trying to get more personal info. I told him I wasn’t interested and ended the call. Still, in the past few days, I've had over 10 missed calls from similar numbers.
