So first I got an automated woman saying she’d transfer me to an agent, then I ended up talking to some bloke called “Mark Jones” with a really thick Indian accent. I messsed around a bit and he started shouting all sorts of rude things about my mum, cousins, even my whole family! You can’t ring them back since it’s through a VPN. Just wanted to kill some time but yeah, definitely a scam call about some money nonsense.

I didn’t pick up and it went straight to voicemail. When I played the message back, it sounded like she didn’t realise it went to voicemail ‘cause she kept saying “Hello?” and “we ain’t messing about here”. Honestly, it was quite funny to hear! Probably some robo dialler that just recorded my voicemail and sent it to her. I’m gonna block the number now.

A woman with an accent I couldn’t place said she was calling from a financial markets firm. When I asked how she got my number, she kept saying I showed interest in financial markets (which I definitely didn’t). Then she claimed I’d clicked on a Google site and their cookies told them I was interested! I told her cookies can’t give out phone numbers, but she just kept insisting she had info I wanted. She was really pushy, and I kept telling her I wasn’t interested. After a while, she gave up, but at least I wasted some of her time.

Got a call from a firm called "PrimeQX" with people speaking with strong foreign accents, all shouting over background noise. They said they offer financial market tips and asked if I knew anything about trading stocks and shares, trying to get me to put money in with them. I Googled them while still on the call and everything looked dodgy. Nobody online seems to trust them and lots have reportedly lost a ton of cash to these lads. Seriously, don’t hand over any personal or bank info to them.
