So the other day I was watching a TV show about consumer rights and some lawyer bloke mentioned that doing consumer surveys over the phone is actually against the law. Weird thing is, this caller not only knew my name but my address too, and they did a little survey with me. They asked if I fancy switching my energy provider to EDF. What’s even dodgier is that EDF have been ringing me this past week. Makes you wonder if some British companies are outsourcing these surveys to places abroad or something.

Got a call from 07598950028 at 7.36 in the morning, which really annoyed me as it woke me up! I've put a block on it using BT Call Protect now. From what I’ve read here, it seems to be the 'savers club' and apparently from India!

Since Friday, this number has rung me three times and now it's Tuesday. I've got Call Guardian installed, so anyone calling has to say who they are. If they don't, the call just doesn't get through, and I only see it later when I check my call history. Seems fishy to me that this person never gives their name. Honestly, I'm glad to have Call Guardian protecting me.

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent claiming to be from Savers Club doing a survey. I told him I never asked to be called and that I’m on the TPS list, meaning he was breaking Section 117 of the Telecommunications (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2007. He then just ended the call. Total con artist - best to block this number straight away.

This guy from Savers club rang up saying he was conducting a survey and mentioned I didn’t have to buy anything. I did answer a few questions thinking that'd be the end of it, but he phoned again and actually asked for me by my name. I was tied up at the time so I just ended the call.

Got a call today from someone claiming to be with the savers club, something i’ve never come across before. they kept going on about how they respected my privacy but when i said i didn’t want to join their survey, they kept nudging me saying it’d only take a couple of mins. I told them i was busy and didn’t have time, but they just kept counting down the seconds. told’em again to leave me alone but they ignored that and sarcastically said i was such a nice lady. i’ve blocked the number now, honestly just don’t bother answering, not worth the hassle or your time.

On the afternoon of 29th July 2016 around 3:50pm, I got a call from a man speaking with an unusual accent who was asking for me by name. I had a strong feeling it might be some kind of scam, so I told him there’s nobody here by that name. He repeated his request once more, but I just swore a bit and hung up straight away. After that, I added the number to my block list, which TalkTalk offers free of charge, so at least he can’t ring me from that number anymore.

I got a call from someone with a foreign accent around 7 tonight. When I asked for their number, they kept refusing and said they’d ring me again. But when I pushed for the details, they just hung up. This is actually the second weird call I’ve had in the last few hours. It’s really annoying because I’ve had to leave my answerphone on and even unplug the phone in my room just to avoid these calls. I’m trying to get better from cancer and I’m dealing with a lot of pain, so this really isn’t helping. I don’t really know how to block numbers either.
