WATCH OUT FOR LINKS THAT STEAL YOUR INFO! If you come across something dodgy, you should report it. Just do a quick search for ‘action fraud’ and head over to the official ‘police.uk’ website. Look for the section where you can ‘report a phishing attempt’ and make sure to read everything carefully. Afterwards, put in all the details about the scam straight into their system. This is really important because it helps the police understand how widespread these scams are and act on them.

Got a text saying I’d been exposed to omicron and needed to get a PCR test. I accidentally tapped the link, but didn’t put in any of my details, so fingers crossed I dodged a bullet.

I received a text message recently, which was clearly a scam. Living in Wales, I am familiar with receiving texts regarding Omicron that mention the NHS Wales. However, this particular text did not mention anything about it. I received it at 20:00 on the 22nd of March, 2022.

Got a call from someone pretending to be from track and trace, asking for money before they’d send the PCR test kits. Totally scam, don’t fall for it!

I got a dodgy text from 07596863188 saying something about Track and Trace. It said I’d been near someone who tested positive for Omicron and told me to order a test kit from a link: https://pcr-track-trace.com. Seemed like one of those scam messages to me, so I didn’t click on anything.

Just like a lot of others, got another call from a different number, pretending to be from track and trace. Guess it's fake again, second time this has happened.

I recently came across a scam related to the Omnicron virus, which is quite similar to previous scams. It disguises itself as a legitimate NHS website and requests a payment of £1.26 for delivery of a private testing kit. As soon as I realized it was fraudulent, I reported the incident to my bank and cancelled my card as a precautionary measure.

Got a text from Track and Trace, but I’m absolutely sure I haven’t been near anyone with Covid. Weirdly, the message didn’t say Covid at all, just mentioned Omicron instead.

Got a text saying it was for track and trace to book a test for Omicron. Followed the link and it took me straight to the NHS site to book a PCR test. I didn’t actually press the button there though, then headed over to the Government website instead and ended up booking my test there just to be sure.
