I just ignored the call and went ahead to block the number since I didn't have it saved anywhere.

Got a call on my landline, the woman asked for me by name. She said she was Jennifer from something called 'Perfect Benefits' and had a really strong Asian accent. She wanted me to give her some personal info. When I asked how she got my details, she said ‘from father’s’. I told her not to be calling as I’m TPS registered, my number’s ex-directory and not on any local gov or sales list. After that she quickly said sorry and hung up. Feels like it was a scam to me!

Received a call on my home phone today, and the caller claimed to be Jennifer from Perfect Benefits. She had quite a pronounced Indian accent. When I inquired how she managed to get my information, she simply stated it was from a 'database'. I informed her that I am ex-directory, registered with the Telephone Preference Service, and not listed on any public directory for selling, to which she just apologised for the inconvenience and promptly disconnected the call.
