She said she was ringing from the road accident unit. At first it sounded proper enough, but then they mentioned a third party being involved and that’s when I knew it was bogus because there wasn’t anyone else connected to the accident.

Someone rang claiming to be from the Insurance Bureau, saying I’d been involved in an accident. At first, I believed it because they knew all my info. But when I expressed suspicion and told them I might hang up, the caller lost their cool, insulted me, and then just ended the call. Proper rude!

I wasn’t close to my phone but saw an unknown caller ID. I never share my mobile number with anyone, nor have I ever said it could be passed on.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from the "road traffic accident department." They threatened me, saying I had to talk to them and that they'd call back soon. This is the second time they've rung, yet as far as I can tell, no official government department by that name exists. Pretty fishy if you ask me.
