I got two calls from them today, and a couple more a few days back, all about my internet service. When I asked some questions, the person just ended the call on me!

Somebody rang claiming they were from Microsoft, and I said, “oh, let me guess, you want my bank info to fix a virus?” The lady on the phone didn’t take it well at all and just got really rude before cutting me off.

Blocked the number straight away. Just got a call on my mobile about 30 minutes ago saying my PC’s Windows was throwing up errors. Can’t stand these muppets, I’m just trying to crack on with work!

Honestly, you come across so many rude people these days but this caller takes the cake. Do yourself a favour and just steer clear of them!

It's really upsetting how some folks still get caught up by these scammers. I just had a hilarious call from a woman who insisted she was going to fix all my computer troubles, but her English was so bad it was hard to understand her at all. Still, plenty of people end up falling for these stunts. Honestly, the best thing is to keep responses super short - maybe just say something like “No thanks” or better yet, “Go away.”

got a call from a bloke claiming there was an issue with my internet, he asked who my provider was so I told him bt, but he said I wasn’t actually with them. then he said my internet was supplied by bt anyway so I just said nah this sounds like a scam and hung up. blocked the number right away.

Got a call from a woman with an accent that wasn’t British, claiming she was from my internet company and that there were issues with my broadband. She started talking about some kind of corrupted files. When I asked where exactly she was calling from, she said BT Internet. I told her my broadband isn’t with BT at all, and she insisted they provide broadband for all the major providers. When I asked why she was using a mobile number, she got a bit defensive, so I ended the call. They rang back the same day, but I’ve since blocked the number.

Had a guy from India ringing me up about 6 times just yesterday and a couple more this morning. Claimed to be from Microsoft support, saying there was something wrong with my computer. Bit weird since I use a Mac. Got pretty rude too when I refused to give him my email or even my name.

Got a call during work from a bloke with an Indian accent and some weird noise in the background. Said he was from Microsoft and asked me to get onto my work PC. I’m employed by the government, so there’s no way I was gonna do that. When I told him I’d pass him to our security team, he ended the call straight away...

This number 07589674246 keeps blowing up my phone, like, loads of times each day. Finally, I picked up and told the caller they’d reached a ### chatline and asked which lady he wanted to talk to. The bloke on the other end chuckled and asked if I was messing about. I said I wasn’t and mentioned the rates - then he just hung up. Haven’t had any calls from that number ever since, so I guess I got the better of him.

Had some dodgy call claiming to be Microsoft, sounded like those dodgy boiler room scammers with an Asian accent. Took ages to convince the muppet on the phone that he wasn't legit. Seems like there’s loads of these idiots about.

Got a call from some bloke claiming he was from "Microsoft," trying to fix a problem with my PC. I told him, "Funny you say that, I actually work for Microsoft," then shouted in the background, "Steve, we’ve got someone on the line, let’s roll." Then told him my fraud team was tracking his IP right now. He dropped the call real fast! Just so you know, I don’t really work for Microsoft though :)

Had some bloke from India calling about my computer, wanting to get in remotely or whatever. I just kept chatting away, not really helping, for a good 8 minutes. Guess he wasn’t too chuffed when he clocked I was just messing about and not giving him the info. Might’ve wasted his time, but felt good doing it!
