Beware of this scam linked to O2. Scammers first get hold of your phone number and then ring O2 to request a security code for your account. O2 sends this code as a text to your phone. Next, they phone you pretending to be from O2, offering a special discount on your bill. They then try to persuade you to share the code they say they sent you. Once they have it, they can get into your O2 account. O2 know about this trick and tell people to just hang up if they get such calls and then update their security info straight away.
