I got a call from someone claiming to be with the small claims court, talking about ads I'd supposedly put up. It’s a well-known scam that’s been going around for ages. The same trick got a Liverpool gang busted back in 2015. I’ve already told Merseyside police about it. Be careful, this con’s been popping up again!

some bloke rang saying he was from the high courts enforcement agency. he claimed there was an unpaid invoice from marstons for our business. problem is, we never even work with marstons. i told him we looked up his number and suspected it was a scam, and that i'd be reporting it to the coppers. he insisted it wasn't a scam, so i asked why we hadn’t had anything in writing. he said he’d post a letter, then just hung up on me.

Got a call today from some bloke using a totally different number, trying to sell some advert for my business. After a quick search, turns out this scam’s been going on since around 2015, started in Liverpool. They mainly target small firms. Watch out if you hear a thick Scouse accent, it’s probably one of these dodgy calls!

Got a call from some bloke claiming he was from the courts, saying I've got a claim against me. I told him to send it in writing so I could show the police, and then he just cut me off. Dodgy scam, watch out.

Someone rang me up, saying they were going to drag me to small claims court over an advert invoice we never ordered. I told them we'd sort it out in court then. The caller ID showed 1471, so I phoned back to get the company name, but it just went to a Giffgaff voicemail. Right after, the office phone buzzed, and when I picked up, they just hung up. It’s a blatant scam, just trying to frighten you into paying up. Don’t fall for it - keep your hard-earned money safe.
