Furthermore, when we ring the number, we’re met with O2’s messaging service. Does anyone happen to know who these folks are?

We’ve been getting messages from this number claiming that the government has launched a debt settlement order. They’re saying that if you're having a tough time financially, you can request to have your debts erased. To apply, they want you to send a message with the word DEBT; if you want to stop receiving messages, they instruct you to text STOP. We've tried to text STOP, but no luck - they just keep sending them! When we call the number back, it always connects to the O2 messaging service. Has anyone else dealt with this or recognise who might be behind it?
