Got a text from some bank scam trying to swindle an 82 year old’s account info. So dodgy!

Got a couple of messages claiming to be from my bank saying there was some big spending on booking.com and to ring 0333 048 0022 immediately to fix it. Both times this week, the text showed up marked as AIB which gave it away straight off 'cos of the mobile number. Totally a scam.

I got a call from this number and got a bit worried after seeing what others said. But it turned out to be the holiday park I booked through Hoseasons. I rang the park myself and they told me it was definitely them.

This number sent me a message and initially I assumed it was genuine since Swale Heating usually does my maintenance. Then I received another text claiming they'd tried to get in after the appointment time they'd given. I responded telling them it wasn’t on to turn up late like that. Shortly after, they texted again asking for my address which struck me as odd since they should already have that info. That’s when I realised it was probably a scam, so I blocked the number and removed the messages.
