got a message about some order confirmation but i never ordered anything (which is why i’m here leaving this comment now). i only ended up on this site after foolishly doing what that idiot told me to do!!! never been fond of the internet or these camera phones... from the start i said this tech would only make it easier for creepy people to exploit kids. everybody’s got a camera in their pocket these days!!!! so any nasty perv can snap pics, follow kids around and with the internet’s help even chat to them pretending to be a lonely kid looking for friends. the poor kid who got a text or message from someone in a car park a couple days ago ends up being stalked - the perv has photos, her address, email, facebook and knows everything. all thanks to technology!!! there’s just too many awful people out there to have this crap so easily accessible. anyone can buy a phone with a camera and get online, and it shouldn’t be that simple at all! and now here’s this boring, lonely, sad virus-infected weirdo who’s wasted at least 5 minutes of so many people’s lives sending this rubbish text… he’s got my attention alright, look at me, wasting more time replying because he sent this to my phone??? REALLY??? get a life, mr “order confirmation”!!! and big thanks to these morons who brought us all this tech stuff… we were doing fine before it! i saw a till break in a shop recently and a teenager was scrambling for her phone to do the maths on the calculator app??? seriously? pen and paper, i told her, she said “oh god, i don’t think i could do it that way”… it’s so sad. if we pulled the plug on the internet nowadays the world would stop. kids can’t even write on paper properly for sums, they use bloody ipads at school now, and everything’s done on laptops… education’s not the same as when we were young. if you asked me to pick between living in the 30s, 40s or 50s, or some futuristic world in 2030 or 40 or 50, i’d just go back to when you could leave your door wide open ‘cause people were honest and real - not rotten and infected with viruses of all kinds. today’s life is just controlled by clicks and buttons. we’re all pawns in some game whether we want to be or not. and this daft eejit who sent me this link can forget about me - i’m out, finished, game over, not playing anymore… no life left here… goodbye! - caller: 07537416405

I've just had a lightbulb moment! There was a charge of £350 on my account, and it's definitely not something I authorised. I'm reaching out to both my bank and the authorities to get this sorted!

Not long ago, I received a text from this number urging me to verify my order details. Naturally, I decided to look up the link provided, and lo and behold, it led to what appeared to be an Amazon site. Interestingly, I had indeed been perusing Amazon just the night prior, although I didn’t actually place an order. It really raises some eyebrows about who might be keeping tabs on our online activities, doesn’t it?

I just received a message from this number claiming that I had a response to my advertisement. It urged me to visit WWW.myadcontact.co.uk/?i9dd829d to respond. I was nearly tempted to click on it since I have some listings on Gumtree, but then it struck me that they typically don’t communicate via text.

I got a couple of texts saying someone replied to my ad - I’ve got listings up on Preloved and Gumtree at the moment. Didn’t bother replying, just blocked the number straight away.

I got a text from this number saying something like, "You've got a response to your selling ad. Please reply by visiting..." I've been putting up ads on Gumtree recently, so I thought it was related. Sounds like a scam to me, for sure.

I got a similar message today, and it's clearly a dodgy attempt to scam me since I haven't made any purchases with that company. I've reported it to my mobile provider by sending it to 7726, which is the number for spam. Fingers crossed they can do something about it. I highly recommend that anyone who gets such nonsense messages follows suit and forwards them to 7726 as well - it doesn’t cost a penny!

I've gone ahead and blocked the number, retaining the message for reference, and I've also captured a screenshot just to be on the safe side.

I’ve just had a message come through from this number claiming I’ve made a purchase. I'm really crossing my fingers that they haven’t been able to siphon any money from my phone provider. I recently encountered another dodgy situation where a scammer managed to swipe £3.75 from my account via a standing order! It’s all rather unsettling, isn’t it?

Earlier today, I received both a message and a phone call from this number. Given the multitude of complaints surrounding it, surely there’s a way to hold the sender accountable in court, assuming that’s within your jurisdiction!
