So I checked out The Yorkshire Water site and it looks like M Group got the job to replace regular water meters with smart ones. Sounds pretty genuine to me. We actually don’t have a water meter at all, and according to the YW site, if you don’t already have one, they can’t make you get one installed.

Got a message from this number saying they're from M Group dealing with Yorkshire Water. Tried clicking the link they sent but it just leads to an error page, nothing there. Seems fishy to me - if it looks like a scam, probably is one. Blocked the number straight away.
