Got a bunch of calls to my Barbados mobile number (I live in the UK) showing up as 0 seconds inbound, but then I got slapped with a $0.33 charge for each one. Same thing happened when calls came from these numbers: 07537410217, 07537410247, 07537410257, 07537410267, 07537410277, and 07537410287. Feels like a dodgy scam to me, and honestly, these lines should be blocked or shut down by the phone company asap.

I got a call saying there was some fraud alert from HSBC and asking if I’d approved a payment of £240. They told me to get in touch through this link if it wasn’t me. Definitely sounded dodgy.

Hey, so my network, Tata Docomo, claimed I’d sent a text to a UK number, but honestly, I never did. After digging around online, I found out that when you activate iMessage and FaceTime, your phone automatically sends a message to this number. So if you're not using an iPhone, you should probably ask your provider to refund the charges. The internet gives mixed info, but for iPhone users, this seems legit.

If you're seeing texts from this number, it's probably because your iPhone is trying to turn on iMessage or FaceTime. That’s the number it automatically sends a message to when setting those up. For those without an iPhone, I’d suggest getting in touch with your network provider to sort out any charges. I mentioned something similar before and that’s what I found online too. Cheers! The same thing just happened to me too: I got billed for 5 texts at 0.16 euro each on the exact same day. I've no clue how to put a stop to it since I never sent any messages to that UK number! Natalia from Spain.

I noticed a charge on my phone bill for a call I never placed. The bill shows I supposedly rang this number on September 2nd at 16:01:35 but the call length is 00 seconds. The cost charged was €0.40. Cheers, Francis Hoboken, Antwerp Belgium
