On 01/09/20, I got a call from a man with a recorded message claiming HMRC were about to issue an arrest warrant because of unpaid taxes. It was really unnerving, to say the least.

I got a call from 07537188157 on our landline. When I picked up and said hello, the person asked if they were speaking to Mrs ##########. I said yes, as we were actually waiting for a GP to ring us back. The caller was a man and hung up straight away after I confirmed. Normally, I don't share personal details but thought this was legit since we expected the call. I checked the number by dialling 1471 and saved it. This call felt really odd and unsettling. Does anyone know if they can get my IP address from my phone or WiFi connected laptop? Really worried now.

Got a call from a lady claiming to be with the Energy Saving Trust or something like that. She wanted to send someone over to look at our energy use, said they'd wear masks if that made us more comfortable. I just said no thanks.

Some woman rang me up pretending to be me but with a strange accent, and she kept saying my name wrong. I just told her no and she said sorry before cutting the call.

I picked up and all I could hear was noise, like a busy call centre in the background but no one actually spoke. It seemed to be some sort of automated dialling so I just hung up straight away.

I got a call from this number and they wanted me to just say yes or no to a few questions about houses. The first thing they asked was which age group I belonged to, like 30-40 or something, so I just said yes. Then they asked me my exact age, but I pointed out that they told me only to answer yes or no. They insisted they needed my age group again and repeated the question. When I asked why they were asking for my actual age after saying it was just yes or no questions, they suddenly hung up. Pretty clear to me that it was a scam.
