They keep ringing about some Anne Roberts fella, I just end up putting the phone down on them now. Another time, someone said they thought I’d been in a car crash that wasnt my fault, and I just cut them off straight away.

Got a call from an Asian woman who asked me by my name. She claimed it was some sort of 'verification call'. When I asked what she was verifying, she just said 'your health'. I told her I already had my health checked, so no need to verify that. Then I ended the call.

I got a call off a bloke claiming he was from Consumer Health. He reckoned he’d tried ringing me last week but I was busy then (which is rubbish, I never got a call). He then asked if I was living at an old address, which I said no to. He threw a few other questions at me, but as soon as I told him how old I was, he lost interest and just hung up on me.

I've had a couple of calls from a woman claiming to represent the Council Compensation Claims, promising me a grand if I initiate a claim with them. I wasn’t about to divulge any personal information, so I've gone ahead and blocked the number!

I’ve received multiple calls from this number now. The initial call was from a woman who had an Asian accent, claiming that my information had been handed over to her for the purpose of a survey. I informed her that I’m a solicitor and made it clear that I hadn’t given permission for my details to be shared, which is a clear violation of GDPR regulations. She promptly ended the call. The next time the same number rang, it was a chap with an Asian accent. I inquired how he or the firm acquired my information. He dodged the question but was insistent about proceeding with his survey. I insisted on getting the name of the company to look into how my information was procured and to explore possible legal recourse. He ended the conversation rather abruptly. I’ve taken the step to block the number and have reported the matter to the authorities. Currently, I’m also working on tracing the company to pursue legal action!
