Got a call from 07441392054, some bloke saying he's David Brown from HMRC. He kept telling me to note down some reference numbers and a case ID, claiming I owed £540 in tax. He even knew my address and, obviously, my phone number. He said they've sent me letters twice but couldn’t get copies through to me. Definitely a scam, don’t be fooled!

On the 22nd of September, I got a call from some automated voice saying they were from HMRC. They told me I owed money and needed to talk to my case worker, asking me to press 1. I suspected it was a scam straight away and just hung up.

On the morning of 22nd September 2017, around 10.30, I got a call from 07537 181204. It was an automated message claiming HMRC were taking legal action against me. It told me to press 1 to talk to a case officer. I did, then a bloke called David Brown came on, asking for my birth date and other personal info. Totally dodgy, I just ended the call straight away. Definite scam.

Around 5 in the evening on the 20th of September, I received a call saying I was £850 in debt. The caller threatened there’d be a warrant if I didn’t pay. After a good five minutes I reckon they realised I wasn’t scared and just messing about, then they just hung up on me. If they can’t pull a fast one on an old bloke like me at 74, maybe they should just give it up.

Got a call from this number today, and the person on the other end already had my full name, address and birthday. They claimed there was a warrant for my arrest because I supposedly didn't pay enough tax. According to them, letters had been sent but I never received any. They said I had to pay up right away to avoid trouble. I decided to check online and quickly realised it was a scam. I asked him to give me their official HMRC phone number, which he did, but still, it felt dodgy. Watch out for this sort of thing!

This number just rang my elderly dad’s place and when I pressed option 1, a man with a foreign accent told me my dad owed £900 to HMRC and that there was an arrest warrant out for him. He was seriously threatening and sounded really convincing, made me panic a lot! After a bit, he said we could fix it all today, and that’s when I figured out it was a scam. I could hear other voices in the background like it was coming from some call centre. He warned me that putting the phone down would cause trouble for us!!! I hung up straight away. Such awful people!!!

Got a call not long ago, a recorded voice claiming to be from HMRC telling me to press 1. I pressed it and then some bloke with a thick accent said I was being taken to court and under arrest. Weird thing is, he knew my full name, address and postcode, then asked for my DOB. When I asked what the fuss was about, he said I hadn’t paid my tax and would be locked up. Rang the cops after and they confirmed loads of people had called in about this scam too.

Got a call from this number claiming to be HMRC, with one of those legit sounding recorded voices. They wanted me to press 1 and then I got put through to some sketchy call centre overseas or something. They asked if I was Mrs Green (yeah, right!), so I told them it’s a scam and I’m going to alert the cops. Honestly, vulnerable folks might fall for this rubbish. I got a call from this number saying H M Revenue & Customs was about to take legal action against me - it was some kind of robocall.
